We will never share your information with a third-party outside NexCen Franchise Management, Inc. We do not sell, share, trade or disclose any information to a third party.
How we collect information:
All information we collect is provided to us directly from the customer or franchisee applicant. We do not utilize cookies or other forms of technology to collect individual information without the customer’s explicit permission. Information is collected primarily through three areas: 1.) Online Franchise Applications, 2.) our “Contact Us” page on our web site, and 3.) our MaggiE-mail program, the official fan club of MaggieMoo. The MaggiE-mail program information may be collected through in-store sign-up slips, sign-up through our web site or online form, or from an e-mail that you may receive from a friend.
What type of information we collect:
The information that we collect on our request for franchise information form includes contact information: first name, last name, address, phone number; geographic area of interest, and financial viability. Due to start-up requirements, prospective franchisees need to meet minimum liquid capital and net worth requirements.
For sign up to our MaggiE-mail program, we collect first name, last name, birth date, and e-mail address. We utilize the birth date to determine if extra measures need to be taken to ensure the privacy of children 12 & under, in efforts to comply with privacy policy laws. If a customer is flagged as under 12 & under, we then require the parent’s e-mail address for the purposes of providing a notice of participation and to obtain parental consent. Also, birth dates are used to provide a special birthday offer!
We collect additional information through a Preference page, once sign-up is finalized. Such information includes zip code, favorite ice cream flavor, what type of items do you buy, how often you visit MaggieMoo’s, etc. This information is not essential to participate in the program and does not need to be filled out to continue receiving our mailings. We generate a reminder to fill out or update your information. Children under 13 WILL NOT receive this reminder, to reinforce that the collection of this information is not a condition of participation. Parents of children under 13 will be provided with a link to access their child’s preference information in a notification of participation and consent e-mail.
How we use the information:
The franchisee submission page, this information is shared with the internal franchisee development team, so they can contact the prospective franchisee.
For the MaggiE-mail program, we utilize your information to send customers e-mails that include new flavor introductions, special offers, fun & games, store events, grand openings, MaggieMoo’s news, etc. Customers will not receive these e-mails unless they opted-in to receive them. Parents for children under 13 are notified via e-mail of their child’s participation. This notification includes a link to the child’s preference information, so they can have access and review their child’s information as they deem fit. The message also includes an unsubscribe link. Parents have the right to not consent to their child’s participation by unsubscribing them to the e-mail program.
Information such as birth date may generate a special offer or reward. We may personalize this reward depending on the customer’s preferences. From time to time, we may send out customer surveys as part of this program or post surveys to our site. As with all the information we collect, this information is not shared with outside third parties. The information will primarily be used in aggregate to help improve our service, our ice cream, and our marketing efforts.
